This is a medical school level tutorial, but it is very good and it presented by the University of Michigan Medical School. There are plenty of videos, reviews, animations, and worksheets to keep you busy for quite a while.

The complement fixation assay is a test used to detect the presence of either specific antibody or specific antigen in a patient's serum. It was widely used to diagnose infections, particularly with microbes that are not easily detected by culture methods, and in rheumatic diseases.

Something that comes up in the world of competitive sports is “gender testing”. This test can be required of certain female athletes to make sure they are really women. In the past there have been cases of men posing as women, men who thought they were men but were chromosomally or physiologically female, and women who though they were women, but chromosomally or physiologically male.
